The University of Iowa Women's Club soccer team WANTS YOU!
We are currently in the process of recruiting for our Fall/Spring 2008-2009 season, and are looking for new players to join our team!
Tryouts will be held this fall (2008) at a time and location TBA [following the first full week of school]. Please contact the team President to ensure that you are placed on the mailing list, as well as staying tuned to frequent website updates and listserve notifications from the University.
The team looks forward to a competitive league/game schedule this fall, as well as looking towards their first time competing in the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) Regional Qualifying Tournament, followed by the NIRSA National Tournament in Alabama.
The team has competed in the past with such college teams as University of Northern Iowa, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, St. Ambrose University, Grand View College, Iowa State University, Truman State University, Loyola University, Loras College, Drake University, and more. Additionally, the team aims to compete in various tournaments that provide an even greater variety of competition.
Typical Schedule includes practices twice a week (usually Tuesdays and Thursday nights; however, this fall has NOT yet been determined) and games are every other weekend (on average).
